Brain Breaks This document contains several ideas of brain breaks you could take within a workshop presentation or during your class to re-energize your students to get them focused once again on learning.

Alot of the following ideas came out of the book - "Sit & Get" Won't Grow Dendrites - 20 Professional Learning Strategies That Engage the Adult Brain by Marcie L. Tate

Buy stress balls as take home gifts for your participants. Periodically through the workshop to get people up and moving. Have them toss or walk around and write one concept they have learned on their stress balls. They can take the stress balls home to sit on their desk to remind them to periodically get their student's brain moving. In the classroom with students, you might use small sized beach balls for the students to write ideas on throughout the year.

Have participants visualize their completed projects so that they can see themselves successful.
