CREATING A PHOTO STORY IN FIVE MINUTES

1. Take pictures or download pictures from the internet. Store them in a created folder on your computer.
2. Start the photo story program. Start – programs – Photo Story 3.
¨ Select to begin a new story.
¨ Click to import pictures.
¨ Browse to the folder location where you stored all of your pictures in step one.
¨ Select the pictures you want to include in your photo story. Hit <ctrl><a> if you want to select all of the pictures at once. Or use <ctrl><click> to select specific pictures at once. Then click OK.
¨ Click next.
¨ Select particular pictures and add text if you wish. Or click next.
¨ Select particular pictures and record narrative. Or click next.
¨ Click on create music or select music from a CD. I recommend create music. Pick a band, mood, tempo, and intensity. Click ok.
¨ Browse to the location where you want to save your file. Save your project. Don’t forget this step, so that if you want to go back later and make changes once you have created the actual video file, you are able to.
¨ Now, click next to create your photo story movie. The program will create your movie.
¨ Select to view your movie.
¨ Click exit.

How Do I Create Title Slide for My PhotoStory Creation?

· Click on Start – New Office Document – Blank Presentation
· Add any text that you would like on the slide (You can use WordArt if you want – instead of plain text)
· Move the text anywhere you want it to be on the slide
· Change the font style, size as necessary
· Add any clipart or actual pictures you want to the slide
· Click on the rectangle square located on the toolbar on the right and draw a rectangular box that is the size of the slide.
· Right click on that box and click on format autoshape.
· Click on the down arrow by the line at the top that says color that is below the section called Color. Select a color, or more colors, or fill effects.
· Right click on the box again and click on order and click on send to back.
· Once you have the slide exactly the way you want it to look. Hold down the <ctrl> key and hit the letter <a> to select all of the objects created on the slide. Right click and select save as picture. When the box appears, it should automatically appear to save in the folder my pictures and at the bottom give you a space to type a file name. Type in the file name you want to call this picture and right below that line it says save as file type. Click on the down arrow by file type and change the file type to jpeg.
· Click OK. Now, go back into photo story and import picture and you will be able to add the customized picture you created in PowerPoint.

How Do I Print Photos Quickly?
· Start – New Office Document – Blank Presentation
· Click on Insert – Pictures – New Photo Album
· Click on File/Disk – Browse to the location of your pictures
o Option One - Click on the first picture you want – hold down the shift key – click on the last picture of the series that you want – this selects several pictures at once that are all together – Click Insert
o Option Two – Click on the first picture that you want – hold down the control key – click on other pictures that you want to add – this lets you select several pictures that are not located right together – Click Insert
o All pictures then appear on your screen in a listing with a small preview of each one as you highlight it – if some need to be rotated, this is the place where you can rotate them if necessary.
o Now to make PowerPoint put several on a page at once – click on the down arrow by the line at the bottom of the page that says – picture layout. Select up to four pictures per page.- Click Create.
¨ Now you have a PowerPoint presentation that allows you to print your pictures quickly. Select file – print.
