Objectives - Upon completion of the session participants will:
  1. Participate in an online project.
  2. Analyze current online projects to determine those meeting standards in the current curriculum, and compile a needs assessment for technology skills to participate in selected project(s).
  3. Participate in tutorials to learn needed skills.
  4. Create an online project meeting current curriculum and technology standards.
  5. Develop a wiki for hosting the project.
  6. Join networks to promote project and learn about new projects.

8:30 – 9:00 Introductions and Discussion of Objectives

9:00 – 9:15 – Brainstorm ideas for online projects ( http://typewith.me/collaboration )

9:15 – 10:15 – Explore Online Project Possibilities

10:15 – 10:30 – Using Google Docs – Create a slide of their favorite projects

10:30 – 10:45 – Break

10:45 – 11:00 – Share the finalized PPT Presentation of Project Ideas

11:00 – 11:15 – Analyze some projects According to NETs Standards

11:15 – 11:45 – Begin online project
  • Participants will use the Arkansas Frameworks and the ISTE NETS-S to create an online project.
11:45 – 12:15 – Lunch

12:15 – 1:15 – Finish up projects and add links to your pages on the PPT

1:15 – 1:45 - Present their projects

1:45 – 2:15 – Explore google docs, nings, skype, and/or other collaborative tools and/or finish project

2:15 – 2:30 – Break

2:30 – 3:00 – Add any additional information to PPT

3:00 – 3:15 – Final All About Collaboration PPT. Add information to the tie collaboration wiki. Join that wiki.
3:15 – 3:30 – Closing - Complete the evaluation form.
